Insanity Workout: Max Recovery
Yesterday does not even compare to the day I have today. I did a lot more physical activity and it all began with my first trip to a gym since January. Before I go into that, I had planned on doing my workout first thing the morning followed by a little bit of tennis but I was not able to do that. I went as a guest to a friend’s gym. I started out with some weight training to tone up my arms and went into cardio right after that. I spent some time warming up on a stationary bike and incorporating some interval training. I decided to move onto the treadmill for high intensity interval training for 20 minutes. It’s been a while since I did HIIT on a treadmill and the last time I did it, I was so out of breath during the one minute bursts. This time, I was able to keep up. I’m pretty sure working out to Insanity has helped me since it’s max interval training.
I worked tonight and did a lot of walking around again including walking up and down a bunch of steps. That was not as hard as assisting a co-worker (in a wheelchair) down the ramps from the top all the way to the bottom. It took about five minutes and at the end of it, I was exhausted and my arms and legs were burning. It was a pretty good workout though!
Of course my day would not be complete without doing today’s workout to Max Recovery. Once I got home, I did my workout even though my arms and legs were still burning from the gym and work. I knew it would get a little difficult when it came to some of the longer holds. I had to stretch out and take a few breaks and overall I got through it just fine. I wanted to get my Fit Test done but it will have to wait until tomorrow. I’ll do it in the morning and do my workout when I get home from work. I also wanted to do some reps on the TorsoBall tonight. I figured that I have done enough for the day and I’ll do a little with that tomorrow as well.
The diet has been healthy for the most part but I still need to clean it up a little more. My trip to Vegas is a little over two weeks away and I want to lose at least seven more pounds until then. I’m looking to lose two pounds by the end of this week. It’s time to turn up the workouts more and eat as healthy as I can. Of course I’ll continue all of this when I get back from Vegas.
