Insanity Workout: Off Day
Off days from Insanity are great but an off day from work is a bigger plus. I relaxed for most of my day and went rollerblading with my friend along a trail next to the Fox River. I haven’t rollerbladed in years! I can’t even remember the last time I’ve gone. I’m thinking it was at least 10 years ago. I found my old pair of skates and cleaned them off. They still fit perfectly. However, I remember why I stopped rollerblading…it was because it would hurt my ankles. Well at least the pair I owned made them hurt. I think I need to wear the right kind of socks for them. Anyways, about half-way into it I noticed that it started getting harder and harder to skate. I felt like I was trying very hard to go faster, I was getting tired, and my friend was far ahead of me. I look down and see that one of the wheels were soft and hot and the other wheels were hot too. The wheel sort of melted down and that’s why it was getting harder to skate. I should’ve replaced my wheels since I haven’t used them in years. I took them off and had to walk the rest of the way back to the car. In all we did about 5 miles total and it was a good workout.
