Insanity Day 15 – Round 2

Insanity Workout: Max Interval Circuit

I hope all of you had a great start to your week!  It was a bit slower for me as I woke up later than I wanted to.  I spent most of my day relaxing and doing some research and learning on different things.  It was great to have a day off from work especially a day off from driving downtown (Chicago).

The only workout I had to do today was another Fit Test.  I didn’t get a chance to do it before I had left for Fit Club.  I am making a minor change to my schedule and will be doing it either tomorrow or Wednesday.  It all depends on my schedule tomorrow.  At Fit Club tonight, we did Max Interval Circuit.  I’m still not a fan of that workout but it’s still a great challenge to do.  I pushed harder through the workout however I had to take several very small breaks.  I kept getting out of breath even though I was making sure I was breathing throughout the workout.  Again, I haven’t had as much energy as I had a week ago.  I really do think it has to do what I’ve been eating lately.  I need to get more fruits and vegetables.  I was planning on doing the Shakeology 3-Day Cleanse beginning today.  I realized that I had a bunch of fresh produce that I needed to eat before I started.  I will eat most of it and will do my cleanse starting on Wednesday.  It will be the perfect time for me to do it with some of the crap that I have been eating.  And yet for some reason, I still lose weight lol.  Hopefully the cleanse will boost my energy level to what it was before.

Another thing I need to work on is my sleeping habits.  Even though it’s a little late when I write this, I’m going to get to bed so I can wake up early tomorrow without feeling tired.

Insanity Day 14 – Round 2

Insanity Workout: Off Day

First and foremost, I would like to thank those who visited this site today as well as those who have been keeping up with my progress.  I didn’t log in to my page all day and when I did I found a neat surprise.  The views on my page doubled from the highest amount of views that I had a few months ago.  I have a feeling it could be from one person or maybe it could be from a bunch of people. Either way thanks for checking out my page!

Even though I could not totally have an day off from work and Insanity it was great to have an off day from Insanity.  I predict that I will take my “bum day” on Wednesday.  That means I will try my best to do absolutely nothing but lay around and relax all day…well minus my workout for the day.  It’s hard for me to not be productive so we will see how it goes lol.  The very least I can do is work from home.

Next up on the calendar tomorrow is another Fit Test.  I think this one will be a little hard for me like last time because I think I’ve already hit my max for the moment.  I have been taking it a little too easy over the past couple of weeks.  It’s time to turn it up.  Time to push harder and dig deeper.  I’m planning on going to Las Vegas in June so I need to get in the best shape that I can get by then.  I will be starting the Shakeology 3-Day Cleanse tomorrow and I will be sure to report on how I feel after each day.  Here is to a great week!

Insanity Day 13 – Round 2

Insanity Workout: Pure Cardio and Cardio Abs

What a day!  A few ups and downs but more ups than downs.  The only down I have to talk about is the Chicago Bulls losing Derrick Rose today.  It’s okay though because I still have faith.  After all basketball is a team sport!  Well you can’t get anywhere in life with a little bit of support especially when it comes to weight loss.  See I sort of tied the subject into fitness and health hehe.

Anyways after work I went to a friend’s house warming party for a bit.  I even showed off a couple Insanity moves because I met someone else that was into their second week of Insanity.  My friend told them I was doing Insanity and they were curious to see a couple moves.  Well I had a pretty relaxing night and did a late night workout to Pure Cardio and Cardio Abs.  It’s been a couple weeks since I’ve done Cardio Abs so it was nice to do them again.

It’s another early work day tomorrow as well as an off day from Insanity.  Hope you all have had a wonderful weekend so far!

Insanity Day 12 – Round 2

Insanity Workout: Cardio Power and Resistance

Success!  I worked out while the sun was still out!  It felt great to workout during the day.  The only thing is that I felt sluggish while working out once again.  I don’t know what’s been up with me lately.  Maybe I should’ve taken a break from Insanity but it’s okay.  Or maybe it has to do with my sleep schedule lately.  I get enough sleep but I’m going to bed too late and waking up late.  I need to change something up that’s for sure.  Other than that, I’m feeling sore from my workouts.  It’s always a good feeling because I know I’m able to build more muscle.

I have another busy weekend ahead of me but it’ll be fun.  It all starts tomorrow with an early game, a housewarming party, and then having a relaxing night with a friend.  I can’t also forget to get my workout done after all that so it will most likely be done in the evening.   Have a great weekend everyone!

Oh and before I forget, in honor of Round 1 of the NBA playoffs beginning tomorrow…GO BULLS!  SEE RED : )

Insanity Day 11 – Round 2

Insanity Workout: Cardio Recovery

I had a wonderful surprise when I woke up today.  By the way, I woke up pretty late lol.  I weighed myself and I lost 2 pounds!  That makes it a total of 21 pounds lost since February 6th!  I’m so glad I have broken the 20 pound mark.  It’s crazy to believe that I have lost 21 pounds of fat so far.

Like I said, I woke up late so I did not have time to workout before work.  Yes, I’m failing on getting my workouts done before work so far and going to bed earlier.  Oops! I really need to change that.  Well I’m glad it’s a recovery day at least.  I worked out to Cardio Recovery when I got home and I’m feeling sore from it.  I dug a little deeper with the holds and squats.  It was a great workout and now it’s time for bed!

Insanity Day 10 – Round 2

Insanity Workout: Plyometric Cardio Circuit

Whew!  On my way home tonight I realized that I had almost worked 12 hours today.  I worked an early game, had to quickly get ready, and work a special event tonight.  I worked all day walking around and most of the time I worked in heels.  My feet are killing me right now but I had a fun time either way.  On a short break at the event, I had a quick dinner and they only had pop available.   I have not had any pop since I started Insanity on February 6th.  I was so thirsty I grabbed a diet.  As kept debating if I should drink it or not and then I opened it.  I was feeling so anxious because I did not want to give in to pop and let alone diet.  I learned how bad diet pop is from watching “Hungry For Change”.  I was so close to taking a sip but I gave it to one of my co-workers.  I was able to ask for a pitcher of water and I’m glad I did not give in.

I ended up leaving the event later than expected and didn’t get home until after midnight.  All I wanted to do was pass out but I knew I had to get my workout done.  Some would have said what I did today was a workout in itself.  I decided to workout to Plyometric Cardio Circuit even though it was getting late.  I didn’t go all out during my workout since my feet were hurting from being in heels.  Now I am ready to pass out.  Another work day tomorrow but it’s a night game and you better believe that I’m going to sleep in tomorrow.

Insanity Day 9 – Round 2

Insanity Workout: Pure Cardio

I really need to go grocery shopping and stop going out to eat.  I don’t know why I can’t get myself to the store when it’s less than 10 minutes away from me.  I think it has to do with my hectic work schedule as of late.  I either work through lunch or dinner and always have to eat a late lunch or dinner so that stresses me out a bit.  I like to plan out my meals and it’s hard when there’s not really a break or even a fridge or microwave available.  I’m still trying to get used to working so much but I’m going to finally get a break next week.  Unfortunately, my next day off will not be until either Monday or Tuesday.  And you better believe that I will spend one of those days doing absolutely nothing lol.  Well besides working out of course.  I’m not trying to complain or anything because it’s money but I needed to get it out there.

My busy days and lack of groceries has made me a bit light headed and tired over the past couple of days.  I have felt like I was missing something.  I think it’s not drinking enough water or eating enough greens which is not like me at all to do that.  I need to make sure I am at least drinking enough water considering I do get enough nutrients in one glass of Shakeology.  By the way, I have not yet missed one day of drinking Shakeology since I started 77 days ago!  I can’t imagine going one day without it!

Well it was another productive day at home before I went to work.  As usual I wanted to get my workout done before work but I ended up doing it after work.  During my workout, I thought to myself I am starting to memorize everything that Shaun T is saying.  Whether they are instructions or making comments.  It’s like watching your favorite movie and reciting the lines haha.  I’m sure by the end of my transformation I will have memorized all of the moves in order and everything that he says.  That means I will have to get myself an Insanity Certification when it becomes available : )

It will be an early, late, busy day tomorrow.  I have a double, sort of…I am going to be working a game and then volunteering at a major benefit.  It will be an exciting experience.  I will most likely workout when I get home except it might be the latest workout I will have done so far.  I have no choice but to workout that late because I don’t have time in between events.  However, I will try my best to wake up early to get my workout done.  It’s pretty late as I’m writing this so I better get to bed.  Once again thank you to everyone for all of your support and for reading my blog!

Insanity Day 8 – Round 2

Insanity Workout: Cardio Power and Resistance

Happy Monday!  Yes Monday’s can be a downer but you have to make the best out of each day.  I used to hate Monday’s but I feel like you have a chance to make a great start out of possibly the best week you can ever have.  You never know what can happen if you have that positive mentality when you wake up.  Take that same positivity each day as well.  Before you know it, after having an amazing and very productive week, the weekend has arrived!

I was able to get a lot done from home before work.  I was so caught up with everything and by the time I knew it, I had to get ready for work.  I didn’t get a chance to workout early like I wanted to.  It’s okay though because I worked out as soon as I got home. Doing Month 1 workouts have been so much easier.  I know what I’m doing and I have more endurance to get through these workouts.  I enjoy dripping in sweat.  Why?  Because I know I worked my ass off : )

Insanity Day 7 – Round 2

Insanity Workout: Off Day

I have been so bad at posting a couple times this past week and I apologize for the late entries.  Once again, crazy work schedule and I’m trying to get into a good routine.  I forgot to post the other night and I had written everything out but I forgot to publish my post.  I’m back on track after this post.  I’m going to try posting earlier starting tomorrow.

I had Shakeology for breakfast and had early day at work today.  It was pretty rough at work since I work outdoors and the weather here has been cold and windy.  It didn’t help that I work next to the lake downtown.  I forgot to bring myself a snack because I work during lunch.  I had a very late lunch when I got back to the burbs.  Today was my off day and I finally was able to relax tonight.  I took the night to reply back to messages and prep for another busy work week.  I’ll be mostly working at night so that means I’ll be working through dinner.  I’ll definitely need to bring a snack and pack a salad for dinner.  I don’t want to have to eat a later dinner.  I’m going to also focus on working out before I work during the day.

I decided I’m going to start putting a dollar in a jar for each workout I have completed since I started working out to Insanity.  I’ll put a dollar in for any P90X workouts I have done as well on the side.  I probably have completed in between 65 to 75 workouts.  I’ll have to put that amount in the jar already.  I’ll keep the pot going and save it for my trip to the 2012 Team Beachbody Coach Summit in Las Vegas in late June : )

Insanity Day 6 – Round 2

Insanity Workout: Plyometric Cardio Circuit

Crazy, busy, but fun day!  Thanks to my best friend having her two sons wake me up at 7:00am today lol.  It’s been a lot of errands and prepping for her daughter’s first Birthday party.  I felt like I burned a bunch of calories helping get everything ready.  I had Shakeology for breakfast but enjoyed a little at the party.  I didn’t have time to get my workout in before the party so I had to wait until the party finished because I spent the night there.  It was a late workout and I worked out to Plyometric Cardio Circuit.

It’s strange not to have too much to say over the past couple of days.  I’ve been so busy during the past couple weeks or so and there’s so much on my mind…mostly on things I need to get done in the next week and my work schedule.  As I’ve mentioned before I would LOVE to have one day where I don’t do anything but lay around and be a bum.  I’d like to add on that I would love to have a day where I don’t drive anywhere.  All I do is that I drive to and from the burbs to downtown Chicago for work.  That day will come very soon.  Unfortunately, it won’t come for another week and a half.

Well I guess I did have a little more to say today lol.  It’s not weight loss related but I needed to get that out.  Anyways, time for bed since I have to get up early for work tomorrow.  Looking towards my off day : )
