Insanity Workout: Core Cardio and Balance
Week 5 is here and it’s Recovery Week! This week lets your body recover from Month 1 and time prepare yourself for what’s to come in Month 2. The workout for the next six days is Core Cardio and Balance. It’s a 37 minute workout that isn’t as intense as the workouts from the previous month. I thought it might be pretty easy but I had a feeling that Shaun T wouldn’t let you off the hook. After all, it is called “Insanity” for a reason. Most of the moves lasted a minute long and I was able to keep up most of the time. My legs and shoulders were burning towards the end of the workout because it was all about slow and controlled moves. The Hip Flexor Burners and Shoulder Burners in Plie were tough but I pushed through and I worked up a good sweat at the end.
I have been sort of feeling impatient the past couple of days. I know losing 10 pounds in a month is a great accomplishment but I felt like I should’ve lost more. I just can’t wait to get to my goal weight. I need to remind myself that I’m going in the right direction and I’m losing weight the right way. I’m also building muscle while losing weight. All that matters is how I’m feeling. I need to stay patient because great things take time and I need to just keep going.
