Insanity Workout: Cardio Power and Resistance
I woke up this morning feeling a little sore but not as sore as I thought I would be. When I tried out Insanity a few weeks ago and P90X two weeks ago, I was so sore I couldn’t walk right. I heard if you eat an orange before a workout, you will experience less muscle soreness and they help you stay hydrated. I found that helpful little tip on Pinterest lol. I have never eaten an orange before a workout so maybe it worked. That and along with eating lots of greens, drinking twelve glasses of water, and drinking my Shakeology. I ate another one before my workout today so let’s see how I feel tomorrow.
Today’s workout was Cardio Power and Resistance. It focused more on the upper-body with strength-training and power moves. I thought it was a little harder than yesterday’s workout as my upper-body strength isn’t too good at the moment. I took a few more breaks than the other day and I paused the DVD once towards the end so I had a little more time to recover before powering through the final circuit. I’ll be honest, I was thinking of just calling it a day and be done with it. I told myself no, I can’t do that because the only person I would be hurting was myself if I stopped. I don’t have to go all out in the beginning and I can go at my own pace. Like Shaun T says “Take that rest if you need it, but don’t stop!” I still have a long journey ahead of me and I know all of my hard work will pay off once I reach my goal : )
